BETA SHOWCASES - TRANCE X ADVANCED PRO 29

The mountain bike publication Beta posted a feature review of the new Trance X Advanced Pro 29 on its website, highlighting the versatile trail bike for its “nicely balanced modern geometry” that delivers “fun, lively handling.”

Beta editor Mike Ferrentino reported on the key technologies in the Trance X Advanced Pro 29 including its full-composite frame and flip-chip feature that lets you quickly change the headtube and seattube angles, along with the bottom bracket height, to fine-tune the handling.

After detailing all the angles and measurements, Ferrentino wrote: “This dance of numbers reveals a bike that all our testers deemed more fun than a barrel of monkeys. It is agile without being sketchy, stable enough to charge hard into messy terrain but still lively enough to feel more nimble than many similarly equipped and oriented bikes, and it offers a pleasing neutrality that is evident whether choosing lines of hunkering down and biting the stem to grind up long climbs. To a person, we loved the way this bike handles.”

Testers at Beta reviewed the flagship Trance X Advanced Pro 29 0 model that pairs a 135mm Maestro suspension system with innovative Fox Live Valve suspension technology and a 150mm fork, but they also looked at the entire Trance X 29 range—including composite frame options and ALUXX SL aluminum frame options—with a wide range of component choices at various price points.
